Repertory of Proper Names in Yuan Literary Sources

This research project represented the continuation of work by Igor de Rachewiltz and his Yuan Biographical Project Team, which in 1988 had published a three-volume collection of information compiled in Chinese on thousands of Yuan-dynasty figures, entitled Repertory of Proper Names in Yuan Literary Sources (SMC Publishing, Inc.). The Foundation provided funding for a supplementary volume of key data on Yuan scholar-officials, including alternative names, native places, ethnic affiliation, religion, profession, etc. This volume was published by SMC Publishing in 1996.
